A group of people tonight attacked a police station at Secunderabad city here over death of a man, who was earlier detained in connection with a scuffle.
Bannappa was taken to police station following the scuffle which took place during the local 'Bonalu' festival yesterday, a police official said, adding that he was later sent away.
The man, however, died today, after which the residents of his locality damaged the Marredpally police station here alleging that police was responsible for his death.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy said an investigation has been ordered into the incident.
