A mob ransacked a nursing home after death of a patient at Uluberia in this district today.
Imam Mallick (19) died this morning in a private hospital, police said.
The family members of Mallick alleged that he had been admitted to a nursing home on Monday, but the nursing home authorities shifted him to the private hospital last night without taking permission from his family.
Agitated over the death, Mallick's relatives along with locals ransacked the nursing home by smashing its glass windows, breaking tables and chairs and destroying files.
Police and RAF were posted in front of the nursing home to avoid any untoward incident.
