City-based AK Surya Power Magic today launched a mobile app -- 'Gold Farm' -- for farmers, offering them all equipment on rent through a convenient platform.
In the first phase, Gold Farm would operationalise the business model in Karnataka followed by other three states in the South and aims to aggregate 2,500 farm equipment in the next six months, the company said in a release.
"Currently, we have aggregated additional 65 tractors and 50 farm equipments. This would be operational from August 16 in the districts of Kolar and Gadag in Karnataka," Gold Farm Director and Co-Founder Karthic Ravindranath said.

"Keeping the farmers in mind, we designed this unique mobile app which directly benefits more than six to eight lakh farmers in and around four states. So far, we have reached around 15,000 acres of tractor services across four states. This will be extended to the Northern states later," he said.
In the next five years, we expect another five million farmers to be serviced, he said.
