Mobile Internet services were today suspended in Jammu region for the second time in less than a month as a precautionary measure in view of the unrest in the Kashmir valley.

"Mobile Internet services have been suspended for a few days in Jammu region as a precautionary measure," Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal told PTI.

Authorities decided to snap the services across all 10 districts of the Jammu division.

The decision to suspend the mobile Internet services was taken due to the turmoil in Kashmir Valley where more than 50 persons, including two policemen, have been killed, and nearly 6000 others injured in street protests.

The step comes even as a partial to complete bandh was observed in Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban in Chenab valley in solidarity with the protestors killed in clashes with security forces.

The services were earlier suspended on July 10 following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani and restored on July 25.
