A mobile money transfer service which would enable quick payment of cash to recipients was today launched for Rajasthan's 250 post offices in collaboration with BSNL.

Under the new system, after depositing the cash to be transferred, a customer would have to provide the mobile phone number of the intended recipient, Chief Post Master General (Rajasthan circle) OS Veerval said while inaugurating the service here.

The post office would send an SMS to the recipient to come and collect the cash by showing the SMS details at any post office, Veerval said.

The new service will have a limit of Rs 10,000 per booking, he said.
