"We welcome the statement of Moon on the Kashmir issue. We hope the Secretary General will make efforts to implement the UN resolutions (on Kashmir)," the moderate Hurriyat, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said in a statement here.
"We also hope India and Pakistan, keeping in view the uncertain situation in south Asia, will start a meaningful dialogue process for resolving the Kashmir issue," it said.
Yesterday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon advocated peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue while respecting "wills" of the people.
