Light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in Bihar today even as the Met department has predicted rain or thundershowers in the state.
Heavy rainfall was witnessed at a few places in the north- eastern part in the past 24 hours, it said, adding that light rainfall occurred at a few places in north Bihar.
The Met department has predicted one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in the next 24 hours in various parts of the state.

In its forecast, the Met department said prominent cities of the state like Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
Bhagalpur received the highest rainfall of 16.6 mm followed by 2.4 mm of rain in Purnea, while Patna and Gaya witnessed 1.2 mm and 0.4 mm of rainfall respectively.
Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35.4 degree Celsius followed by 34.8 in Bhagalpur, 33.0 in Patna and 31.5 degrees at Gaya.
Gaya remained the most humid place with maximum morning humidity level recorded at 89 per cent followed by 84 per cent each in Bhagalpur and Purnea while it was 83 per cent in Patna.
