Bihar today experienced moderate rainfall at many places in the northeast and north-central parts of the state.
While light to moderate rainfall was recorded from a few places in the northwest and southwest parts of the state, one or two places of northeast and southwest parts received heavy rainfall, the MeT Department said here.
The Department has in its forecast said Patna, Gaya and Purnea are expected to have a generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in the next 24 hours.

Bhagalpur is expected to have a partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder or lightning, it said.
The absence of rainfall in Patna, which has received 0.2 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, made life difficult for the people due to high humidity level.
Gaya recorded 5.4 mm of rains while Bhagalpur received 1.1 mm of rainfall, the weatherman said.
Among the major cities, Purnea recorded 19 mm rain today and 33.3 mm of rainfall in past 24 hours.
Patna recorded the highest temperature among the four cities at 33.4 degrees Celsius. Gaya recorded 32.8 mm of rainfall.
Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded maximum temperatures of 31.0 and 29.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
Purnea remained the most humid place in the state with 100 per cent humidity in the morning followed by Bhagalpur at 94, Patna at 85 and Gaya at 82 per cent.
