Moderate rains in HP

witnessed light to moderate rains today as monsoon remained subdued in the region.

After three days of rains temperature in the state has dropped below normal at most parts of the state.

Dharamsala was wettest in the region with 26 mm rains while Sundernagar recorded 21 mm, followed by Theog 18 mm, Saloni 15 mm, Manali 12 mm, Mandi 11 mm, Kumarsein 9 mm and Kasauli 8 mm.

The minimum temperatures dropped by two to three degree with Manali and Shimla recording a low of 13.6 deg and 15.5 deg while Keylong and Kalpa in twin tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur recorded lowest temperatures at 11.7 deg and 12.2 deg C, two degree below normal.

 

Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 32 deg C while Sundernagar recorded a high of 31.6 deg, followed by Bhuntar 30.2 deg, Dharamsala and Solan 27.5 deg, Shimla 22.3 deg and Kalpa 16.6 deg C.

Nahan was warmest during the night with minimum at 23.8 deg while Una recorded a low of 23.3 deg, followed by Mandi 20.1 deg, Sundernagar 19.6 deg, Bhuntar 18.7 deg and Solan 18 deg C.

The local MeT office has predicted widespread rains across the state with heavy rains at isolated places in mid and lowewr hills.
