Moderate rains in parts of Himachal Pradesh

Several parts in mid and lower areas of Himachal Pradesh received moderate rains as monsoon remained normal in the region.

However, mercury rose by few notches and Una, which was hottest in the region recorded a high of 35.4 deg C while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded maximum temperatures at 32.8 deg and 32.2 deg, followed by Nahan 30.2 deg, Dharamsala 28.6 deg, Solan 27.5 deg, Shimla 23.7 deg and Kalpa 22.4 deg C.

Palampur received 56 mm of rains while Dharamsala and Dehragopipur in Kangra district had 43 mm and 40 mm rains, followed by Ghamroor 21 mm, Manali 13 mm, Baldwara 12 mm, Theog and Una 11 mm and Bhoranj 9 mm.
 

State capital Shimla recorded 3 mm of rains even as sky remained overcast and fog obscured the landscape.

Una was hottest durIng the night also with minimum temperature at 23.2 deg while Dharamsala and Sundernagar recorded a low of 21.4 deg and 21.2 deg, followed by Kangra and Bhuntar 19.8 deg, Solan 19.2 deg, Palampur 18 deg, Shimla 17.1 deg, Manali 14.5 deg, Kalpa 14 deg and Keylong 13.6 deg.

The local MeT office has predicted rains and thunderstorm at many places during next four days.
