Barring some places in Himachal Pradesh which received moderate rains, the weather remained dry in most parts of the hilly state as monsoons remained weak in the region.
The humidity increased to saturation point and people reeled under sultry heat during the day in lower hills and foothills.
Dharamsala, which was the wettest place in the region, received 43 mm of rains while, Nadaun and Sujanpur Tira received 20 mm rains, followed by Mehre 18 mm, Nagrota Suriyan 14 mm, Amb and Palampur 13 mm, Guler and Gaggal 12 mm each and Bangana 10 mm.

Meanwhile, Kangra, Solan and Nahan recorded a high of 32.8 deg, 29.5 deg and 29.1 deg C, followed by Dharamsala 27.2 deg, Manali 26 deg, Shimla 25 deg and Kalpa 24.2 deg C respectively.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thundershowers at many places in the state during next six days.
