The south west monsoon has withdrawn from remaining parts of Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere in the country today while the north east monsoon rains have commenced simultaneously in Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions, the Met office here said.
The "well-marked" low pressure lies over the south west Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu - south Andhra Pradesh coast and the system may concentrate into a depression during next 24 hours, it said.
Heavy rain would occur at isolated places in all districts of Rayalaseema and in the districts of East and West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours, it said.
Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers would occur at most places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and many places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and at a few places over Telangana, the Met office said.
