Modern communication system unveiled in CISF headquarters

The command and control system, with a dedicated BSNL line, will function on the lines of a video conferencing system between the CISF headquarters here and various field formations which are deployed for duties ranging from airport security and guarding space and nuclear installations among others.

The centre will immediately begin to function as a control room in case of operational and administrative emergencies, bringing the CISF top brass in direct communication with senior officials on the ground.

Apart from guarding 59 airports in the country, the Central Industrial Security Force provide security to vital government installations, historic monuments like Taj Mahal and Red Fort, units operational in naxal-hit states and private sector installations.
