Congress today dared Narendra Modi to immediately declare the constituency from which he would be contesting Lok Sabha polls.

Party General Secretary Madhusudan Mistry claimed that Modi would announce his Lok Sabha seat at the last minute as the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP is afraid of internal sabotage.

Mistry, a known detractor of the Gujarat Chief Minister, said that if Modi contests from two seats one in Gujarat and another in Uttar Pradesh, it would mean that he is unsure of his success.

"It will be like Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan contesting from two Assembly seats recently as he felt he could be a victim of internal sabotage if he filed papers from only one seat," Mistry said.

The talk in Congress is that Modi could be contesting from Baroda in Gujarat.

Mistry, who is in charge of party affairs in Uttar Pradesh, said that the Pradesh Election Committee for the state will be meeting on January 22 while that in Gujarat on January 24 to recommend names of possible candidates for finalisation by the Central Election Committee.
