Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Manish Tewari today said here that the Narendra Modi euphoria was fizzling out and people had already started getting disillusioned with the NDA government.

"This government is high on decibels and low on deliveries", he remarked.

Tewari challenged the NDA government to list at least one achievement to its credit after being in power for about a year now.

He said that despite the oil prices having touched a record low, there was no economic recovery in sight.

"The only achievement of this government is doing the bidding of its corporate masters and snatching away the land of poor farmers to please them", he observed, while pointing out how the government was circumventing the legislative process by adopting the ordinance route not once but twice.

On the issue of bickering in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Tewari said, although he did not want to comment on the internal matters of any party, but the general refrain among the people was that AAP had betrayed the expectations with which people had voted them to power.

Referring to the state of affairs in Punjab, he said that the Akali-BJP alliance will be wiped out in the next elections.

He maintained that AAP will not even be able to open its account in Punjab.

He dismissed reports of any factionalism in the party in Punjab saying Congress continued to be the largest party in the state.

"Only Congress is in a position to form the next government in Punjab of its own", he said.
