BJP President Amit Shah today claimed that the Narendra Modi government has succeeded in containing inflation and strengthening the economy of the country.
Addressing a public meeting organised at the Kota maiden here as part of the state leaders meeting, Shah said inflation that stood at 7 per cent has become zero in the last six months of NDA rule.
Economy of the country has also become stable and 3000 foreign companies have agreed to invest in the country as part of Prime Minister's 'Make in India' programme, he said.

Development activities were also taken up in all sectors, he said.
Taking a dig at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, the BJP President said the country achieved development as it was ruled by a Prime Minister who knows the pulse of poverty and life of common man and a person like Rahul Gandhi who was born with a "silver spoon" would not understand this.
On the security front, he said whenever there were attacks by Pakistan on boarder areas, our country retaliated and this was not the case during UPA regime.
On the political situation in Kerala, which has so far failed to elect a BJP candidate to the Assembly or Lok Sabha, Shah said now the situation was ripe for a political change in the state.
Attacking the ruling Congress led UDF and CPI-M headed LDF opposition, Shah said the main hurdle in Kerala's development was successive rule of these Fronts.
Shah said Narendra Modi had raised the slogan of "Congress Free India" and now slogan for Kerala was "Congress and CPI-M Free Kerala".
The Centre would extend full support to the development of the state, he said, adding, the Centre had taken great care in bringing back the nurses from Kerala who were stranded in conflict torn Iraq and Libya.
Earlier in the day, Shah inaugurated state BJP membership campaign and addressed the party leaders meet.
Shah asked the workers to equip the party to capture power rather than merely open an account in the assembly and Lok Sabha.
