Prime Minister Narendra Modi was making false promises in the last two years of rule, All India Mahila Congress President Shobha Oza said today.

Addressing reporters here she said the NDA government had disillusioned peoplewith their "Acche din" promise though it was far from reality.

The Centre had not taken any step to empower women, Oza said.

While the BJP won the elections with the slogan of 'bahut hua mahilaon pe atyachar, ab ki baar Modi sarkaar,' they failed to keep the promises.

The budget for women empowerment was remaining stagnant at 4.5 per cent of the total budget for the last two years, she alleged.

She said the government had promised to create two crore jobs for youth each year, but only 1.34 lakh jobs had been created so far.

The revenue income of the government was spent only to advertise the Prime Minister and his government.

She also alleged that the RSS was trying to saffronise education.
