The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, today passed a resolution at its state executive meeting which stated that the situation in Kashmir is "fast improving" and Narendra Modi government has tackled the situation in the Valley "diplomatically".

It claimed that most of the local terrorists and foreign intruders who had taken up arms against India have been neutralised by security forces.

"The situation in Kashmir is fast improving. State Working Committee appreciates the way Modi government has tackled the situation in Kashmir diplomatically," the political resolution passed at the meeting stated.

"The Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces and JKP have worked in synergy to break the backbone of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the state," it said.

The resolution stated that the working committee condemns all terrorist attacks on the party workers in Kashmir.

"Such attacks only strengthen our resolve to spread the party ideology in the Valley. We also appreciate and praise all our leaders and workers who have displayed exemplary courage and are working tirelessly, unmindful of their personal security, to keep the party flag fly high and ensure the bloom of Lotus across all the districts of Kashmir," it said.

Hitting out at Pakistan for escalation in aggression of the Indo-Pak border, the resolution passed at the BJYM's state executive meeting stated, "Attempts by Pakistan to escalate aggression on borders by unprovoked firing has met with befitting response from our brave soldiers".

"We believe in living with dignified peace, but not in silence at face of aggression. The working committee condemns Pakistan for this cowardly act and expresses solidarity with the border residents", it said.

The committee also appreciates the central government for sanctioning Rs 450 crore for construction of 14000 bunkers for border residents, it said.
