Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on his 61st birthday.
"Warm birthday greetings to Telangana CM Shri K Chandrashekar Rao. Had a wonderful meeting with him yesterday," Modi tweeted.
Rao met the Prime Minister here yesterday amid reports that TRS may join the NDA and the Telangana-based party may get a berth in the Union Cabinet.
According to TRS sources, the Telangana Chief Minister yesterday met the Prime Minister for about 20 minutes.
Several issues including a separate high court for the newly-bifurcated state were believed to have been discussed in the meeting.
However, the issue of TRS extending its support for the NDA at the Centre did not figure in the meeting, the sources claimed and dismissed the reports of TRS joining the Centre as speculation.
TRS has 11 MPs in the Lok Sabha, which is also the ruling party in Telangana.
