It was a tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan today for Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited the Presidential palace, an event which ended with a maiden one-to-one lunch with President Pranab Mukherjee.
This was the first luncheon meeting between the two leaders since Modi took oath as Prime Minister on May 26 and came at a time when the government is planning to appoint new Governors and transfer others who had been appointed during UPA rule.
The Prime Minister was taken around Rashtrapati Bhavan by the President's Secretary Omita Paul.
