Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today said BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had "no knowledge" of the country's history and had "usurped" both BJP and RSS.

"Modi has no knowledge of the country's history and he has usurped the entire BJP and RSS as only Modi-Modi is being heard everywhere," Singh said while addressing a rally in support of Congress candidate from Balaghat Hina Kanvre.

He also berated BJP over the mention of Ram Temple in its manifesto.

"If they want to construct Ram Temple at Ayodhya as per the Constitution, then why did they demolish the Babri mosque?" he said, adding, "BJP is indulging in bargaining on the issue."

Singh alleged that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was shielding a certain former minister and a mining baron in the MP Professional Examination Board scam. He also criticised the government for not recommending a CBI probe into the scam.

Seeking votes for Hina, Singh recalled his association with her father and former minster Likhiram Kanvre, who was killed by the Naxals when Singh was the Chief Minister.

BJP has fielded Bodh Singh Bhagat against Kanvre.
