Modi, Lee to launch joint Singapore-India postage stamp

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong will launch a joint postage stamp tomorrow featuring the presidential residences of both the countries to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The stamp has pictures of the Istana of Singapore, and the Rashtrapati Bhavan of India, Singapore Post said today.

The two leaders will launch the stamp at the Istana.

Modi's visit also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India this year, and underscores the excellent and longstanding ties between the two countries.

A complete set of stamps will cost 2.30 Singapore dollars (USD 1.6) while a pre-cancelled First Day Cover affixed with stamps will cost 3.20 dollars (USD 2.26).
 
The stamps can also be purchased online.

Modi will travel to Singapore on his maiden official visit today during, which the two countries will elevate their relations to strategic partnership by signing an agreement.

During his visit, Modi will meet Lee, President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
