This was Modi's first meeting with the two leaders after his re-election as chief minister for a fourth term last month.
"The Chief Minister had nearly hour-long meetings each with the President and the Vice President," officials said.
"It was a courtesy call. He met them after winning the people's mandate to become Chief Minister of Gujarat for the fourth time," they said.
