Terming Narendra Modi as the "most unsuccessful" prime minister, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today charged him with failing to secure the country's borders during his first year in office.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved to be the most unsuccessful prime minister of the country. In the first year in office, there had been border violations by Pakistan 58 times and by China 38 times," national spokesman of AAP and incharge of the party in Uttar Pradesh Sanjay Singh told reporters here.

Taking a dig at Modi for his '56 inch chest' comment during campaigning for Lok Sabha elections, Singh said it seems to have deflated.

Alleging that there has been a spurt in cases of violence including communal tension, the AAP leader cited today's terror attack in Gurdaspur, infiltration in Arunachal Pradesh and waving of Pakistani and ISIS flags in Kashmir to stress his point.

Questioning the silence of the prime minister on major issues including the Lalitgate and Vyapam scam, he said though he is taking part in 'Mann ki Baat' on radio but in reality he is "maun" (silent).

To a question on the Centre not giving full statehood to Delhi, Singh said these are "mere" promises made during elections.

"These are mere promises which are made at election time and later forgotten," he said.

The AAP spokesman accused the Samajwadi Party and BSP of not doing enough on the Land Acquisition bill out of fear as their leaders are facing CBI inquiry.
