Congress today dubbed the Narendra Modi rule as "minimum governance, maximum event management" in the wake of Supreme Court faulting the government on a variety of issues, including on black money.

"This is the only government in independent India which excels only in event management and nothing else," party spokesperson Shobha Oza told reporters here.

Noting that the only achievement of the government was its image as a "good event management company", she said that it was pulled up by the apex court on various issues like black money stashed away abroad, cleaning of river Ganga and formation of government in Delhi.

During the Lok Sabha poll campaign, BJP veteran L K Advani had dubbed Modi as an "event manager".

Taking a dig at the Prime Minister, she said that what the people wanted was "less talk and more action" as mere assurances do not help them.

She said that in the last five months, the government has failed to even appoint the Chairman of the Central Pollution Control Board at a time when it was talking big of cleaning of rivers, including Ganga.

Another party spokesman Ajoy Kumar downplayed questions regarding donation by Timblo Pvt Ltd, an alleged black money account holder, to Congress. He said that it should be noted that prosecution against the company started when the Congress-led UPA was in power.
