Congress MLA and Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Assembly Shankarsinh Vaghela today said the language of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day address didn't befit his post.
"Prime Minister's language was below the standard. This type of language does not suit a Prime Minister... It seemed as if the Prime Minister was rather speaking at an election rally and not at the Red Fort. That was not an Independence Day speech," Vaghela said.
"When the people of this country do not have faith in the schemes announced by him, he brought up the politics of BJP and Congress in his speech. I feel the dignity of Prime Minister's post was lowered today," he added.
