Alleging that the central government was being soft on Pakistan, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said every Indian "should feel ashamed" over the beheading of two Indian soldiers by that country's troops.
"Every proud Indian should feel ashamed when heads of two of our soldiers are axed at the border. This is shameful. India is being mocked at," Modi said while addressing 'Vivekananda Youth Sammelan' on the occasion of Gujarat's 53rd Foundation Day programme.
The state of Gujarat was created on May 1, 1960, after it was bifurcated from the erstwhile state of Bombay, as it was known.
