Modi to address BJP workers in Hyderabad on August 7

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is to visit Telangana on August 7 will address a meeting of BJP's booth level workers here, Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya said today.

"He will address a meeting of party's booth level cadres at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad. He will explain various schemes and welfare measures of the NDA government," he told a press conference here.

Besides laying the foundation stone for NTPC's 1600-MW thermal power plant and for revival of a fertiliser plant at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district, Modi will also dedicate to nation the 1200-MW Singareni Thermal Plant at Jaipur in Adilabad district, Dattatreya said.
 

"He will participate in the launch of the first phase of 'Mission Bhagiradha' (a state government's drinking water project) in Gajwel. He will launch all (other) programmes from there," he said.

The Union minister said he is hopeful that the GST bill would be passed during the ongoing session of Parliament.

The NDA Government was in discussion with regional parties and Congress, he said.

His ministry would soon frame rules under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act passed by the Parliament, Dattatreya said.
