Madison Square Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, which can accommodate 20,000 people.
Given Modi's immense popularity among Indian Americans, the venue, according to organisers is considered to be too small to accommodate his large fan club.
However, the organisers, the (OFBJP), who were initially looking for venues that can accommodate between 60,000 to 80,000 people; signed the contract for the Madison Square Garden this week, as this was the only large venue available for September 28.
