BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will not address an election meeting here on April 18 in favour of party candidate Murli Manohar Joshi as was scheduled earlier.
Instead he will be going to the neighbouring constituency of Akbarpur where BJP candidate Devendra Singh Bhole is holding rally on the same day. Actor-turned- politician Shatrughan Sinha will campaign for Joshi in the rally here.
"The programme was changed last night when the new itinerary came from the BJP Delhi office stating that Modi will come for Bhole's rally on April 18," BJP District president Surendra Maithani said.
Maithani had earlier said Modi was to attend Joshi's rally but the district office cited a last-minute change in the itinerary sent from the party's Delhi headquarters as the reason behind the decision.
