MODIFEST begins in West Bengal

MODIFEST, the 'Making of Developed India Fest', began in West Bengal today with the events, organized by the ministry of information and broadcasting, inaugurated at six locations.

While the fests at Durgapur and Burdwan were inaugurated by Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, the one at Naihati was inaugurated by the Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh.

The fest highlighted various people-oriented flagship programmes of the Centre.

"The Fest will help common people to become aware of various central schemes including Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Ujjala Yojana and so on," the speakers said.
 

There were 10-20 stalls on an average in each fest with each stall having facilities to provide information of all sorts to the viewers.

The fest, the first of its kind in the state will be held at 12 more locations upto June 18 this year.
