Bollywood filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker says he was fascinated by the world which existed before the mankind started recording history, and this curiosity led him to make "Mohenjo Daro".
Starring Hrithik Roshan and the newcomer Pooja Hegde, the movie is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.
Gowariker took over three years to develop the film.

According to the new findings, based on the carbon dating conducted on animal remains and pottery fragments, the Indus Valley civilisation dates back to 8000 BC, making it one of the most ancient civilisations, he noted.
Also starring Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh, "Mohenjo Daro" will release on August 12.
