Police today filed a chargesheet in a local court against a former Jammu and Kashmir Minister in connection with a molestation case filed against him by a lady doctor in February this year.

The chargesheet against Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister and Congress leader Shabir Ahmad Khan was filed under Sections 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of RPC in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar V S Bhou.

A lady doctor had accused Khan of sexual harassment at work place in February this year. In her complaint, the doctor claimed that the minister called her to his office in Civil Secretariat on January 28 and tried to outrage her modesty.

Khan had resigned from the Council of Ministers following the allegations.
