A court here today remanded Kishor Darda, secretary of Jawaharlal Darda Education Society, in police custody for two days in a case related to alleged molestation of girls by two teachers of Yavatmal Public School.
He is accused of failing to report the offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act to the police, as required by Section 21 of the Act.
Darda, arrested from Nagpur yesterday, was produced before the Additional District and Sessions judge last evening and was remanded in one-day police custody. Today, he was given judicial custody but police sought his custody afresh in another FIR related to the same case.

The two teachers, who are accused of molesting the girls in KG and primary classes, namely, Yash Borundiya and Amol Kshirsagar, are already in police custody. The school's principal too has been arrested under section 21 of POCSO.
The school, hit by angry parents' protests after the arrest of two teachers last week, reopened today, though the attendance was thin.
