An alleged molester was nabbed and bashed up by local residents before being handed over to the police here.
Sumesh Suresh Uttekar, who on a two-wheeler, inappropriately touched a married woman who was riding pillion on a bike being driven by her husband last evening in Vartak Nagar, police said.
The woman raised an alarm upon realising that someone had molested her. Upon hearing her shouts, a group of passers- by ran after the 24-year-old accused, pulled him down from his vehicle and thrashed him before handing him over to police.
Police have arrested Uttekar and booked him for outraging the modesty of a woman.
