Tampara, a wetland near Chhatrapur in Ganjam district which was severely damaged by cyclone Phailin in 2013, will soon get a facelift as the state government has sanctioned Rs one crore for the purpose.

"The government has sanctioned the money for repairing the damaged portions and widening and development of the approach road from the national highway," district Tourist Officer Sanatan Nayak said.

The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation will execute the project and a Bhubaneswar-based organization has been asked to design the overhaul, he said.
