Monsanto India today reported a net profit of Rs 24.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, helped by higher income.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 8.25 crore in the same period a year ago.
Income from operations during the January-March quarter of 2015-16 rose to Rs 86.85 crore from Rs 67.41 crore in the year-ago period.
Recently, German pharmaceutical and chemical giant Bayer AG announced a USD 62-billion all-cash offer to acquire US-based biotechnology major Monsanto Co, which has a significant presence in India.
