A leading US-based seed company has established two dekalb hybrid maize museum in Bihar's East Champaran district to create awareness about the benefits of dekalb maize hybrid in the kharif season.
The two museums, set up by US based Monsanto, have come up at Narha Panapur in the East Champaran district.
Spread over a combined area of eight acres the museums showcases a range of 10 dekalb maize hybrids. It has been established in partnership with the Cereal System Initiative for South Asia (CSISA).

A total of 10 varieties including DKC 9126, DKC 9145 have been put on show in the museums, he said.
"Through this museum, we aim to demonstrate to our stakeholders (farmers) a great deal of options that they have to get more output from their farms, improved hybrid maize seeds, improved crop management practises and agronomic knowledge and result in enhanced yields and returns for hybrid maize cultivation," Amrendra Kumar, Technology Development Manager of Monsanto, said.
