Monsoon remains subdued in West Bengal

Monsoon remained subdued in West Bengal with most parts of the state today receiving little or no rainfall except Bankura, as the weatherman forecast one or two spells of rain during next two days.

Bankura received 41.7 mm rainfall in 24 hours since yesterday morning, the MeT department said.

In Kolkata, the weather was warm with humidity, as it recorded the day's highest temperature at 33.7 degrees Celsius.

There was little or no rainfall in other parts of the state since yesterday morning.

The weatherman forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain for the next two days in the state.
