Monsoon remains subdued, minimum temp rises marginally in HP

However, maximum tempertures dropped by few notches after intermittent heavy rains yesterday.

Kasauli in Solan district was wettest with 33 mm of rains while, Jubbarhatti recorded 28 mm, Guler and Nagrota Suriyan recorded 27 mm and 26 mm of rains respectively, followed by Kahu and Dharampur 20 mm, Gaggal 18 mm, Tissa 16 mm, Dharamsala 15.8 mm, Solan 15 mm, Shimla 13.8 mm, Saloni 13 mm, Nadaun 12 mm and Kheri 10 mm.

Maximum temperature dropped by 1.4 deg C to stay at 35.6 deg C at Una while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 34.6 deg C and 32.8 deg C, Dharamsala 30.4 deg C, Nahan 29.2 deg C, Solan 28.5 deg C, Kalpa 25 deg C and Shimla 24.3 deg C, two to three deg Cree above normal.

 

Una was warmest during the night with minimum temperature at 24 deg C, three deg Cree above normal while Mandi, Dharamsala, Sundernagar, Bhuntar and Shimla recorded a low of 22.6 deg C, 22.2 deg C, 20 deg C and 19.2 deg C respectively.

The local MeT office has predicted widespread rains across the state during next 48 hours and warned of heavy rainfall at isolated places in the districts of Kangra, Shimla, Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan and Chamba during next 48 hours.
