Monsoon revives in Rajasthan, Badgaon records 5 cm rainfall

After a lull of a one week, the Southwest monsoon today revived in several districts in Rajasthan with Badgaon recorded the maximum rainfall of 5 cms.

According to MeT office, else where the mercury still showed an upward trend with Churu sizzled at 41.8 degrees C, one of the hottest day in August month in Rajasthan.

Gogunda, Lasadia and Dhambola recorded the maximum rainfall of 4 cms each, followed by Sallopot, Udaipur, Kota 3 cms each, Manoharthana (Jhalawar), Gangdhar 2 cms each, and one cm at many places in eastern parts of the state.

Whereas Bikaner recorded a maximum of 40.8 degrees C followed by Ganganagar 40.1, Jaipur 39.8, Jaisalmer 39.6, and Pilani 39.5 degrees C.
 

MeT office, in a forecast, said rain or thundershowers would occur at some places in east Rajasthan in next 24 hours, and north-west regions would continue to be dry.
