Monsoon has been delayed by another two days in Goa even as pre-monsoon showers continued to lash the coastal state, the MeT department said on Monday.

"The monsoon is yet to arrive in the state. It will set over Goa in another two days," India Meteorological Department Director V K Mini told PTI.

The weather department has predicted that moderate to heavy showers will continue in the state for next four days.

Goa has received 301 mm of rainfall for this season till date with temperatures dropping to 28.3 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the rains continued lashing the state with several areas inundated due to heavy showers.
 
Several places in Panaji city, including the area around the city bus stand, was flooded creating huge traffic jams during the day.
