The monsoon has weakened over Goa since last week resulting in a dry spell.
The Indian Meteorological Department has said that 95 inches of rainfall was reported during the first two months, beginning from June first week, with some days witnessing incessant rains in the coastal state.
"Now the monsooncurrents have weakened over Goa coast and hence there are no rains. The situation will continue for sometime," IMD Goa director V K Mini said.

Mini said Goa's total seasonal rainfall is pegged at 95 inches, which is still 8.2 per cent above normal rainfall.
During this month till yesterday, eight inches of rainfall was recorded by IMD.
