Moong dal,gram dal prices fall

Prices of moong dal and gram dal decreased while price of wheat increased, prices of all other commodities ruling steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here today.

On the opening day wheat was more by Rs.100 per quintal to Rs.3,100 from Rs.3,000.

Gram dal price fell sharply by Rs.1,000 per quintal to Rs.12,000 from its closing rate of Rs.13,000.

Moong dal was down by Rs.200 per quintal to Rs.6,500 from Rs.6,700.

Prices of thoor dal,urad dal,sugar,maida(90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) opened at the same Saturday's closing rates.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 10,000, Urad Dal Rs 9,500, Moong Dal Rs 6,500, Gram Dal Rs 12,000, Sugar Rs 3,850, Wheat Rs 3,100, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,700 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,300.
