In a truncated week owing to Pongal holidays, a mixed trend prevailed in the the wholesale foodgrains market here with prices of thoor dal and moong dal increasing while urad dal and wheat showing a decline.
Moong dal firmed up by a hefty Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 10,500 from its previous week closing rate of Rs.10,000. It closed the week at Rs 10,500.
Thoor dal opened the week at Rs.9,000 with an increase of Rs.100 per quintal over previous close and ruled steady thereafter.

Wheat slid by Rs.50 per quintal to Rs.2,750 from its last week's closing of Rs.2,800.
Gram dal (Rs.4,400), sugar (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kgs (Rs.2,500) and sooji (90 kgs)(Rs.3,000) remained unchanged during the week.
