Prices of moong and moth rose by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased buying by stockists following increased demand from local parties.
Traders said increased offtake by stockists on the back of pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in select prices.
In the national capital, Moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,300-8,000 and Rs 8,100-8,600 per quintal, respectively.

Moth also went up by Rs 100 to Rs 5,600-5,900 per quintal.
In line with a general firm trend, gram, gram dal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-4,450, Rs 4,100-4,300 and Rs 4,200-4,500 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small 5,450-5,700, bold 5,500-5,750, Dal Masoor local 6,400-6,500, best quality 6,500-6,600, Malka local 6,800-7,100, best 7,000-7,100, Moth 5,600-5,900, Arhar 5,800- 5,850, Dal Arhar Dara 7,200-7,500.
