Moradabad-Ghaziabad rail traffic restored

A day after seven coaches of Delhi-Faizabad Express got derailed near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh, the traffic on Moradabad-Ghaziabad rail route was restored today.

The track was cleared and repaired. The first train passed from Kankather and Garh Mukteshwar railway station at 3.00 pm , Chief Public Relation Officer, Northern Railways Neeraj Sharma said.

Seven coaches including four AC coaches, two sleeper coaches got derailed at 9.05 pm near Hapur yesterday. No death was reported but some passengers suffered injuries in the incident.
