More family films should be made: Sooraj Barjatya

Director Sooraj Barjatya, who is known for his high-entertaining family dramas, feels more people should be encouraged to watch such films today.

Sooraj's filmography includes "Hum Aapke Hai Kaun", "Hum Saath Saath Hai" and "Vivah" among others. He is also happy with the response to his latest venture "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".

"We are happy with the love from everyone. It's a simple film with emotions. It's a big film for all of us. We need more people to make such films (family films). We do not have enough people who experiment...

"We need to encourage people to make such films. We are thankful to all those watching the film," Barjatya told reporters.
 

"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" has Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. The film released on November 12 and has earned Rs 250 crore worldwide.

"Today all kind of films are being made. I think such films (family films) should be made. May be my point of view towards these films would be different from others," Salman said.
