Officials in the Ministry said the regional passport offices, including passport seva kendras, will remain open in Delhi and Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday.
Passport melas will be organised in Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune, Nagpur, Goa and Malappuram on Saturday while the same will be held in Surat, Madurai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Tirupati on Sunday.
Following complaints of delay in issuance of passport, the MEA had organised 'passport melas' in seven cities on Saturday and Sunday last week to address the growing demand for passport services.
The two-day melas were held in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Amritsar, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Hundreds of people turned up at passport offices to apply for their document.
Applications for all passport-related services other than Tatkaal will be accepted during passport mela.
