More rains over most parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours were forecast today with the location of formation of another low pressure area over Arabian Sea.
"Another low pressure area has formed today over Saurashtra and Kutch and adjoining Northeast Arabian Sea," said Sarat Sahu, the director of IMD, Bhubaneswar.
The IMD in its afternoon bulletin said yesterday's low pressure area over central parts of south Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha shifted to northwest Madhya Pradesh and its neighbourhood today.

Predicting heavy rainfall at one or two places in interior Odisha districts during the next 24 hours, the weather office said gusty surface winds at the speed of 45-50 kmph to 60 kmph may prevail along and off the coast in the state.
"Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea," the bulletin said.
Special Relief Commissioner P K Mohapatra said the state government was watching the situation.
He ruled out possibility of any floods in view of the heavy rains.
